We keep busy every summer delivering intense, exciting workshops to over 20,000 young people as part of the government’s National Citizen Service (NCS).  This programme is delivered by the Challenge Network to 15-17 year olds across London, the Midlands, Lancashire and Northern England.

If you missed our updates, then head over to The Challenge Diary.

What did this year’s participants think of the training?

“It has allowed me to feel more confident to talk with a stutter in front of a live audience.”
Ryan, BlackCountry A7

“It was a once in a lifetime session which has changed my outlook on speaking publicly and improved my confidence.”
Tierney, Bwell A6

“Really helped me, also made me realise that I’m not alone in topics which I thought were ignored. It changed my mind-set.”
Zak, HEAL A6

What did the mentors think?

“I have seen other trainers perform the same session and each time, I see trainers deliver quality content and are very relevant to the young people in each wave.”
Emaan, BlackCountry A8

“Led an effective day of activities, you could see young people being inspired by each other and the trainer.”
David, BAM A8

“Fantastic! Saw a remarkable growth in confidence, ability and self. A positive challenge.”
Nicholas, STORM B5

7) Speak Up Speak Out

Project your voice to the back of the room so that your audience can hear you easily (but try not to shout at them).
