Jack Petchey’s “Speak Out” Challenge!
Jack Petchey’s “Speak Out” Challenge! is the world’s biggest youth speaking event!
In each one-day workshop, students take part in games and exercises to encourage them to think on their feet in a fun, interactive and safe environment. The day culminates in a “Speak Out” speech contest where students can speak on any topic they feel strongly about – using only their voices, their words and their passion. Notes are not allowed; they must use the techniques from the training.
Running throughout the academic year, with 37 Regional Finals (one for each participating borough or region), the programme culminates in the Grand Final. 15 Regional Champions perform in front of a panel of prestigious judges and a vast audience in London’s West End in their bid to become the next “Speak Out” Challenge! Champion.
All those taking part receive a Certificate of Achievement and the top four placed speakers win prize money for themselves and their school.
